Why Germany
Why Dentists Are Choosing Germany
Germany has 30 dental schools, an advanced healthcare system and steady demand for qualified dentists. Specialist training here is a paid job, not a paid course.
💰
Earn While You Specialise
You train as a specialist (Fachzahnarzt) while working as a salaried assistant dentist in a clinic. You earn a salary instead of paying fees.
🦷
Steady Demand for Dentists
An ageing population and high oral-health awareness keep demand strong in private practices and hospitals.
📜
Approbation = Licence for Life
Once you hold the Approbation, you can practise anywhere in Germany for life, and even open your own clinic.
🇪🇺
EU Blue Card & Settlement
Skilled dentists qualify for the EU Blue Card, with family reunion and a clear path to permanent residency.

Common Questions
Your Questions, Answered
Can an Indian BDS graduate work as a dentist in Germany?
Yes. Your BDS goes through recognition (Anerkennung), you pass the C1 dental-language exam (Fachsprachprüfung), and then you work on a temporary licence (Berufserlaubnis) or a full licence (Approbation). We guide you through every step.
Is Dental PG in Germany free?
Specialist training (Fachzahnarzt) is a salaried job in a recognised clinic, so you earn a salary instead of paying tuition. University master’s (MSc) programmes are a separate option and may charge fees. We explain both on your call.
How much can a dentist earn in Germany?
Dentists in Germany typically earn €5,000–7,500 a month after Approbation and €10,000–15,000 as specialists, depending on the state, employer and experience. Assistant dentists on a temporary licence usually start at €3,000–4,000.
What German level do I need?
You need general German at B2 and must pass the C1 dental Fachsprachprüfung at the state Dental Chamber. Welcare runs structured German training for dental professionals.
What is the difference between Berufserlaubnis and Approbation?
Berufserlaubnis is a temporary licence (usually up to 2 years) that lets you work under supervision. Approbation is the permanent licence, granted once your degree is found equivalent or you pass the Kenntnisprüfung (knowledge exam).
Is there an age limit, and do I need experience?
Candidates aged 20 to 45 can apply, and freshers are welcome. You do not need years of experience to start.
